With train cars, locomotives, electric trolleys and other accessories dating back to the 1870s, the Orange Empire Railway Museum presents an intriguing history of the railway in California. Visitors can stroll past antique relics, restored and repainted to showcase their original appearance, and even take a ride on one of its many working streetcars or trains. Located in the town of Perris, about 20 miles from Riverside, the museum is beside the small Perris Valley Airport.
Open daily 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Trains run Sat. - Sun. times vary, call for details.
